F Steven Mahoney

Mr. Mahoney is of Counsel at Manley & Brautigam, P.C., based in Anchorage. His practice focuses on energy related federal, state and local tax controversy and planning including project finance and merger and acquisition transactions, choice of entity, and real estate transactions. His clients include the largest oil and gas companies in the State, pipeline companies, various mineral and extraction entities, as well as acting as General Counsel and representing the boards of numerous charitable organizations. In previous employ Mr. Mahoney has held in-house counsel and executive level tax positions in multinational corporations in oil and gas, semiconductor, nuclear fuels and mining entities including ExxonMobil, Atlantic Richfield Company, Kraftwerk Union AG and Zilog. He has repeatedly testified before the US Treasury, the Texas and Alaska Legislatures and regularly teaches classes in nonprofit law. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the Alaska, Texas, and California state bars. He is also a Certified Public Account in the State of Texas and a member of the Texas Society of CPAs.
