Switzerland's lower house of parliament gave its approval June 10 to revised double taxation agreements signed with the United States and nine other countries that will require Switzerland to provide cross-border administrative assistance in cases of suspected tax evasion. The approval by the National Council opens the way for the agreements to enter into force in January 2011, subject to ratification by the partner countries.
