Tax Court, IRS to Talk Shutdown With Practitioners

U.S. Tax Court and IRS staff plan to meet Jan. 22 with members of the private sector tax community to discuss court procedures and operations as the partial government shutdown continues, practitioners aware of the meeting told Bloomberg Tax.

  • The purpose of the meeting is “to make sure the IRS, the court, and the taxpayer community all understand what the procedures are going to be during the shutdown and post-shutdown,” Sheri A.
