    Dr. Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou has served as Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University since September 2015. 

    Founded in Montreal in 1821, McGill is a leading Canadian post-secondary institution with 300 programs of study and some 39,000 students from over 150 countries around the world. Since 1906, the Desautels Faculty of Management has continued to be one of the top management schools in the world, offering programs at the undergraduate, masters, doctorate, and executive levels.     In July 2017, Becky Frankiewicz joined ManpowerGroup as the President of ManpowerGroup North America. She brings high energy and passion, coupled with strong P&L experience from a large and complex global business.

    Prior to ManpowerGroup, she led one of PepsiCo’s largest subsidiaries, Quaker Foods North America.  In that role she was responsible for the $2.6B business, leading all functions, sales and manufacturing.  Under her leadership, Quaker Foods delivered impressive growth as she led the transformation of that brand to be known as America’s ‘best start to everyday’. She was also named by Fast Company as one of the most creative people in the industry, anticipating and adapting to fast changing consumer demands.

    Prior to her success leading Quaker Foods, Becky held a variety of senior leadership roles at PepsiCo across the portfolio of brands. Her experience in these roles, which included leading Innovation, Finance, Strategy, Sales and Marketing across the PepsiCo portfolio, positions her well to lead ManpowerGroup’s strong and connected brands -  - Manpower, Experis, Right Management and ManpowerGroup Solutions.  Prior to joining PepsiCo, Becky worked in strategic consulting with Deloitte and Andersen Consulting.  She began her career at Procter and Gamble.  She is a passionate team builder and people developer. Becky has a great educational track record, attaining top marks at the University of Texas, where she earned an MBA in finance, and a BA in Marketing.

    Becky is dedicated to her family, health and helping others succeed.  She currently lives in Chicago with her husband and three daughters Parker, Payton and Piper. She starts each day with a morning workout and is training for her first marathon later this year, which will raise money for World Vision.

Many of her stories look at the gender pay gap, racial diversity on Wall Street and the talent pipeline in the most profitable industries in the U.S. She has appeared on Bloomberg TV, Bloomberg Radio, MSNBC and PBS NewsHour. Jordyn is a graduate of the University of Southern California.

    Prior to Bloomberg Law, Molly managed global surveys supporting the Consumer Technographics product at Forrester Research.  She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from SUNY, New Paltz, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Butler University, and is experienced in teaching research design, methodology and statistics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

    Joe Korngiebel is chief technology officer at Workday, and is responsible for the strategic direction of the company’s technology.

    Joe joined Workday in 2006 and most recently served as senior vice president of experience technology, and design where he led strategy and development for Workday’s user experience and mobile technology. Joe has spent more than 20 years within technology and enterprise software development in a variety of key technical and leadership roles. In addition to leading the user experience vision for Workday, Joe oversees Workday Labs, the company’s center for research and innovation.

    Before her current role, Ms. Langston was head of Vanguard Institutional Sales Small Market, responsible for Vanguard Retirement Plan Access™, a comprehensive suite of 401(k) retirement plan services for small businesses.

    Her previous Vanguard roles include serving as a leader in Corporate Strategy, heading the relationship management team and internal sales organization in Vanguard Financial Advisor Services™, and serving as chief of staff for the Institutional division. Ms. Langston started her Vanguard career as a relationship manager. Before Vanguard, she was an analyst with Banc of America Securities’ debt capital markets department.

    Ms. Langston is a cofounder of the Vanguard Black Professional Network. She is a former board chair for Urban Tree Connection, an organization focused on community-based urban greening in Philadelphia.

    Ms. Langston earned a B.S. from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

    As SVP of human resources, Meghan focuses on all things 'people' at Foursquare, connecting the dots across the company between talent, process, policy, and technology. Meghan leads the recruiting and talent teams, dedicated to making Foursquare a great company to work for (Foursquare was included in AdAge’s list of the “Best Places to Work” in 2016 & 2017).

    Leighanne Levensaler is senior vice president of corporate strategy at Workday, where she leads the organization responsible for developing integrated business strategies. In addition, Leighanne is managing director and co-head for Workday Ventures, where she oversees Workday’s investments in emerging enterprise technologies.

    Leighanne brings 20 years of experience and an exceptional level of expertise in technology and business to her current role. Leighanne previously led product management for Workday’s applications including Workday Financial Management and Workday Human Capital Management. Prior to joining Workday in 2009, Leighanne was principal analyst and director of talent management research at Bersin & Associates. Before that, she led the learning consulting practice at SystemLink Enterprise Solutions, and previously held positions at SmartForce, Edutrek International/AIU, and Deloitte Consulting.     Katherine Newman, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, University of Massachusetts and Interim Chancellor, University of Massachusetts Boston

    Katherine Newman will become Interim Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts, Boston on July 1.  UMB is the only four year public research university in Boston, home to an outstanding majority-minority student population, hailing from more than 100 countries.  Over 60% are the first in their families to attend college.  The university’s award winning faculty spans the arts and sciences, as well as professional schools in management, public policy, nursing and education.

    Newman was previously the Senior Vice President of the University of Massachusetts system, the Provost of UMass Amherst and prior to that, the James B. Knapp Dean of the Arts and Sciences at Johns Hopkins University.  She is the author of fifteen books on topics ranging from technical education and apprenticeship, to the sociological study of the working poor in America’s urban centers, middle class economic insecurity under the brunt of recession, and school violence on a mass scale.  She has written extensively on the consequences of globalization for youth in Western Europe, Japan, South Africa and the US, on the impact of regressive taxation on the poor, and on the history of American political opinion on the role of government intervention. 

    Dr. Newman has served as the Forbes Class of 1941 Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs and Director of the Institute for International and Regional Studies at Princeton, the founding Dean of Social Science at the Radcliffe Institute of Advanced Study and the director of Harvard’s Multidisciplinary Program on Inequality and Social Policy, where she served as the Malcolm Weiner Professor of Urban Studies in the Kennedy School of Government.  She taught for 16 years in the Department of Anthropology at Columbia University and for two years in the School of Law at the University of California Berkeley. 

    Her most recent book, Reskilling America: Learning to Labor in the 21st Century, focused on the need for national investment in technical education and apprenticeship (Metropolitan Books, 2016).  Her forthcoming book, “Downhill From Here: Retirement Insecurity in the Age of Inequality” will be published in January 2019.

    Sona Pancholy, Senior Director, Content Strategy, Bloomberg Next

    Sona Pancholy has over 20 years of experience driving business growth for corporations, professional services firms, and nonprofits. In October 2015 she joined Bloomberg BNA to lead content strategy for Bloomberg Next – focusing on creating custom content offerings, including digital assets and live events, that further the goals of law firms, tax and accounting firms, and corporate and nonprofit entities across a range of industry verticals. During the past year, Sona has been a key member of the team developing Workplace Shift, Bloomberg Next’s signature conversation focused on the Future of Work.

    Prior to joining Bloomberg Next, Sona led national business development and client engagement teams for large law firms, including Stinson Leonard Street, Venable and Akin Gump. She has trained lawyers around the world on managing successful client relationships, and has spoken at the World Jurist Association, the American Bar Association Law Practice Division and the Legal Marketing Association meetings. Sona earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Boston University School of Law and her Masters in Law from Washington College of Law.

    Natasha Radden, Senior Vice President, HR Business Partners for Client Services & Technology, TIAA

    Natasha is Senior Vice President, HR Business Partner for the Client Services & Technology (CS&T) organization, reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, Natasha leads the development and execution of CS&T’s global human capital strategy. As a key advisor, she works closely with the Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Client Services & Technology and is a member of the leadership team ensuring that HR programs fully support current and future workforce needs and are aligned to business objectives.  She also serves as a key member of the HR Leadership Team helping to shape and influence the overall company’s HR strategy and execution of enterprise-wide initiatives. 

    Natasha joined TIAA in 2007 as a Human Resources Business Partner focused on human capital efforts in support of building the Wealth Management business. While the majority of her career has been in the business partner role, she spent the past four years advancing the company’s commitment to Diversity & Inclusion as the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer. A few highlights of her accomplishments include the launch of pivotal efforts like the Journey To Inclusion program, a focus on workforce diversity representation, and the Power of One speaker series. Under her leadership, TIAA has been recognized with a number of awards such as i4CP’s Best Practice Award, Fortune’s The Best Workplaces For Diversity, and Forbes list of Best Employers for Diversity. She also led the growth of TIAA’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to broaden their reach and impact, including the addition of the Diverse Abilities ERG, and the TIAA Incubator which aims to solve relevant business challenges by engaging members from all ERGs.

    Lynne Rosansky, Provost, Bentley University

    Lynne Rosansky, Ph.D., is provost at Bentley University and has been in the position since July 2017. She is an experienced higher education leader who has served as a college president, provost and dean. 

    As Bentley’s chief academic officer, Rosansky works with the Dean of Business and the Dean of Arts and Sciences to build on the university’s strong academic reputation and further its interdisciplinary approach, one that integrates the study of arts and sciences within a business degree program to prepare students for successful careers and lives.  

    She has made a significant impact in her first year at Bentley, working to reposition Bentley’s graduate programs and expand online course offerings.

    Rosansky’s academic credentials span both business and arts and sciences. She served as founding president of the Hult International Business School, dean of the University of New Haven College of Business, provost at SUNY’s Levin Institute and interim provost at Franklin Pierce University. She has also served on the faculty at Brandeis International Business School, the Simmons School of Management, the International University of Japan and Babson College. Rosansky earned a Ph.D. and M.A. from Boston University, M.B.A. from Babson College, and B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University.

    Andrew Schwedel, Partner, Bain & Company

    Andrew Schwedel is a partner in Bain & Company’s New York office and he has also worked in the firm's Boston, Sydney and San Francisco offices. 

    Andrew is a senior member in Bain's Financial Services practice. He also leads the firm's Macro Trends Group, which analyzes global macro-economic and other trends for Bain's clients, as well as Bain Insights, which focuses on developing firm-level implications based on external trends.

    Andrew has more than 15 years' experience collaborating with senior leaders to address their most pressing challenges. He has particular expertise in the financial services sector, where he has assisted both corporate and private equity clients in the brokerage, asset management, banking, consumer finance and insurance (life, health and P&C) industries. His experience includes growth strategy (corporate and business unit), turnarounds, operational improvement, M&A assessments, organizational effectiveness and outsourcing/offshoring. He has led significant cost reduction programs for insurance and brokerage clients.

    Prior to joining Bain in 1996, Andrew worked as an insurance broker with Marsh & McLennan in New York. He earned an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth, where he was named an Edward Tuck Scholar and is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

    Michael Sciola is a noted leader in higher education with expertise in innovation, entrepreneurship, and career development.  Mike is a pioneer in leveraging the connection between undergraduate career centers and alumni networks to create inter-generational synergies that result in demonstrated career readiness and trajectories for today’s undergraduates.  As Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Career Initiatives at Colgate, he has led the institution’s strategic vision focused on augmenting Colgate’s rigorous academic curriculum and Division One athletics with a four-year career development program that has resulted in a 98.7% placement rate for Colgate’s most recent graduates. 

    Mike oversees the Center for Career Services which works with 97% of the entire student body each year, the Thought Into Action entrepreneurship program and incubator, the Management and Leadership Skills program offering training in key employability competencies, and the Investment Studies Program which introduces students to the fundamentals of personal finance and investing. 

    Before coming to Colgate in 2012, Mike was director of Career Services at Wesleyan University for 15 years where he was among the first in the nation to formally integrate the career center with university advancement and alumni relations.  Prior to Wesleyan, Mike worked in career services at Brown University and the University of Rhode Island and has held a variety of additional student affairs positions at the University of Rhode Island, the California State University, Fresno, and the University of New Hampshire. 

    Mike is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and holds both a Bachelor of Science in gerontology and a Master of Science in human development, counseling, and family studies. In addition to higher education, his career has encompassed a few twists and turns including selling chocolate chip cookie pies; being a designated keyholder at Waldon Books; and training in clinical hypnosis

    Michel Servoz, Senior Adviser for Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and the Future of European Labour Law, European Commission

    Michel Servoz is the Senior Adviser to President Juncker for Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Labour. Prior to joining the European Political Strategy Centre, the in-house think tank of the European Commission, Michel was Director-General of Directorate-General "Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion" from 2014 to 2018. Earlier (2011-2014), he was Deputy Secretary General responsible for coordination of the EU Semester and the upcoming Multi-Annual Financial Framework.

    Michel has diplomas from the Institute of Political Science and the National School for Judges in Paris, and a Master Degree in Law. Prior to joining the Commission, Michel has experience working as a Law Professor, Judge and Deputy Secretary General of the Court of Cassation in Paris.

    Christine Shakespeare is assistant vice president of continuing and professional education at Pace University where she leads a $10M lifelong learning unit, to include online undergraduate and graduate degrees; noncredit units; and the English Language Institute. Previously, she held the interim associate provost for student success position where she led both campuses’ student retention efforts. She also led the international students and scholars office responsible for travel/field courses, study abroad, and agreements with international institutions as well as articulation agreements with community colleges. Previous to Pace, Christine was the dean of academic affairs at Sunbridge College, located in Chestnut Ridge, New York (Rockland County) where she led a strategic teach-out of master’s degrees in concert with NYSED. Prior to Sunbridge, Christine was the associate director of community relations at New York University within the office of the Senior Vice President for University Relations and Public Affairs. From 2004 until 2009, Christine was an education consultant at the Ford Foundation. Christine's Ph.D. is in higher education policy from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education (2001—2005). She came to NYU from Texas, where, on behalf of then Governor Bush’s Office of Volunteerism, she worked with state agencies, the corporate community, higher education, and nongovernmental organizations to build the capacity and infrastructure of the volunteerism sector utilizing the resources of AmeriCorps and Campus Compact funding and volunteers. Other past professional experiences have brought her into the realm of governmental relations at the University of Texas System and the Office of Admissions at Hofstra University. She holds a B.A. with Honors and Phi Beta Kappa from Hofstra University’s New College and an M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of San Diego. Christine has deep family roots in Venezuela and she hails from Hempstead, New York, located on Long Island.

    Jim Shaughnessy is senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at Workday, responsible for all legal affairs at the company.

    Jim has more than 20 years’ experience as a strategic legal executive for leading technology companies. Before joining Workday in 2011, Jim served for four years as senior vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel at Orbitz Worldwide. From 2005 to 2007, Jim served as senior vice president and general counsel at Lenovo Group. Prior to Lenovo, Jim was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at PeopleSoft, where he served as a key advisor to the board of directors leading up to its acquisition in 2005. Jim has also held legal counsel jobs at Hewlett-Packard, Compaq Computer Corp., and Digital Equipment.

    Jim holds a Juris Doctor degree and a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Michigan, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University.

    Bryan Smith, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, NASDAQ

    Bryan Smith is Nasdaq, Inc.’s (NASDAQ: NDAQ) Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer. Mr. Smith is responsible for human resources strategy, programs, policies and practices. He leads Nasdaq’s efforts to attract, motivate, develop, and retain talent across 28 countries. During his tenure, Nasdaq closed and integrated eight acquisitions, with headcount growth of over 170%, which required design and implementation of new HR programs and scalable, global HR processes, systems, and team structure, including Total Rewards, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and Business Partnership.

    Prior to joining Nasdaq, Mr. Smith was a founding Partner with Meridian Compensation Partners LLC, an independent executive compensation advisory firm. At Meridian, Mr. Smith provided advice to Boards of Directors and senior management teams on the full range of executive and Board of Director compensation and corporate governance issues. 

    Prior to his tenure at Meridian, Mr. Smith was a Partner at Hewitt Associates LLC (now Aon Hewitt), a global human resources consulting and outsourcing firm. At Hewitt Associates, Mr. Smith held various roles, including Defined Contribution Practice Leader, HR BPO Transformation Leader, and HR Consulting Partner, specializing in corporate restructuring and M&A, executive compensation, talent management, and broad-based total rewards.

    As associate vice president of university initiatives, Jacqueline designs and launches university-wide initiatives that support Arizona State University’s charter and design aspirations. Jacqueline developed and now oversees over $60 million in grant-funded projects related to leadership development, student success, workforce innovation and online learning communities. To advance her portfolio, she has facilitated dozens of design charrettes and “action collabs” all over the world from Tempe, Arizona to Kampala, Uganda. She also cultivates early-career higher education professionals through an award-winning university innovation fellowship program.     Suzy Walther is the Global Head of Talent, responsible for Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Leadership Identification and Development. Previously she was the Chief of Staff for the Industry Verticals, which businesses include Bloomberg Government, Bloomberg New Energy Finance, and Bloomberg Bureau of National Affairs.

    Walther’s career began with Bloomberg in the Analytics department in 1997. She was quickly promoted to an on-site representative to one of the firm's largest and most critical clients, supporting their fixed income trading systems. In 2000 Walther advanced to the role of manager of the Global Product Strategy Group, followed by management responsibility for the equity and fixed income sellside order management systems (TOMS & SSEOMS).  By 2008, Walther had helped turn the fixed income TOMS business into a multi-million dollar revenue generating division at Bloomberg. That year, Ms. Walther moved on to become the global business head of a startup business focused on a multi-asset portfolio and risk analytics product suite (PORT), resulting in considerable incremental Terminal sales and revenue for the company. Just prior to serving as the Chief of Staff for the Industry Verticals, Ms. Walther was asked to create and implement a career development strategy, and became the first ever Global Head of Career Development.

    Betsy Ziegler, CEO, 1871

    Elizabeth “Betsy” Ziegler is the first female CEO of 1871, now the Number 1 ranked tech incubator in the world.

    Previous to 1871, Betsy was the Chief Innovation Officer at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, responsible for portfolio innovation as well as integrating technology into the Kellogg educational experience. From 2011 through September 2015, she served as associate dean of degree programs and dean of students.

    Prior to Kellogg, she served as a principal in McKinsey & Company’s Chicago office where she led the firm’s Life Insurance Operations and Technology practice and co-led its Financial Institutions Operations and Technology practice.

    Ziegler holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and received a B.A. in economics from The Ohio State University, where she graduated with distinction. She is also is a member of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Board of Directors and an advisor and investor in many young technology companies.
