Ms. Tuggle is an experienced corporate intelligence and regulatory and compliance professional, who is currently deployed with ACADEMI LLC in Afghanistan. Previously, she served as the Compliance Manager for ACADEMI with a focus on anti-corruption and compliance training. Before joining ACADEMI, her experience included analytical research and work on a variety of matters, such as internal embezzlement investigations, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act research, stock market fraud investigations, hostile takeovers/proxy fights, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission investigations, litigation support, and threat assessments, as well as due diligence on financial deals.  She received her B.A. from the College of William and Mary.

 

Co-author of BBNA Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 103, Corporate Compliance: Building a World-Class Borderless Ethics Compliance Program.  This portfolio discusses best practices for establishing a general compliance program and complying with U.S. regulatory regimes. In particular, the authors discuss the key components of a compliance program, benchmarking mechanisms for the program and how to structure internal oversight of the program. This portfolio also examines related issues, such as how to train employees on compliance efforts, how to audit the program, and how to investigate and remediate issues that arise as part of compliance efforts.
