Walt Tuthill is a Partner with the Commercial Law Counseling Group at Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP. Mr. Tuthill's practice focuses in the areas of partnership, limited liability company and statutory trust law. He is also significantly involved in unclaimed property holder representations, bank and insurance regulatory matters, consumer banking law, and general merger and acquisition and contract law matters.

He received his B.A. from Denison University and M.M. and J.D. from Northwestern University.

Co-author of BBNA Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 74-3rd, Unclaimed Property.  This portfolio discusses the law concerning unclaimed property, which has been in effect in various states, in one form or another, since at least the early 1800s, but has become in recent years a much more important source of revenue to the states, and, therefore, a much more serious matter for corporations.  The portfolio provides a discussion of the history and evolution of unclaimed property law and an analysis of the basics of unclaimed property law, including the uniform acts that have been approved by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws ("NCCUSL").
