Tim Van Canneyt heads the Fieldfisher Technology Outsourcing & Privacy practice in Brussels. He has significant experience in the field of privacy, data protection, and data security, where he advises clients on their privacy compliance issues, such as consent, international data transfers, accurate privacy policies and notifications with the data protection authorities. He has a particular interest in privacy challenges caused by digital technologies and services (big data, cloud computing, internet of things, cookies, etc.). Another important part of his practice includes drafting and negotiating complex IT service agreements, and advising on legal aspects relating to licensing, system integration, maintenance and outsourcing.
