Wolfgang Auf is tax expert at CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz and is specialized in tax matters in relation to Croatia and Slovenia. He worked in CEE for several years and therefore he can draw on a wealth of experience in planning and optimizing tax operations for property transactions and developments, structuring projects and international tax planning. He primarily advises on tax optimization of transactions, corporate restructurings and liquidations, restructuring of companies, double taxation treaties and transfer pricing.
Mr. Auf began his career working for the tax consulting and audit firm GfB Treuhand GmbH, in Graz, Austria. He then moved in 2003 to the Higher Regional Court, Styria, Austria where his main focus was on bankruptcy law. In 2004, Mr. Auf joined trust and auditing firm CONFIDA where his main focus was on the restructuring of companies, implementation of group accounting systems for international clients, international tax law, company restructuring/bankruptcies, and proxy in the firm's bankruptcy department. He was promoted to Director of the firm’s SEE Group where he was responsible for the offices in Croatia (Zagreb, Rijeka), Bosnia/Herzegovina (Sarajevo), Serbia (Belgrade) and Slovenia (Ljubljana). In this role, Mr. Auf specialized in international taxation, restructuring of companies, controlling and accounting. In 2007, he was promoted to Managing Partner of CONFIDA SEE Group. He because a Tax Partner at CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz in 2009.
