Baker Donelson has elected Andrea Bailey Powers, whose practice focuses on labor and employment law, to be a shareholder in the firm's Birmingham, Ala., office.

Dana M. Gayeski has joined the Mount Laurel, N.J., office of Capehart Scatchard as an associate in the workers' compensation department.

Duane Morris partner Bronwyn L. Roberts has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Roberts works in the Boston office of Duane Morris, representing businesses and health and educational institutions in employment litigation.

Labor and employment lawyer Abad Lopez has joined the Chicago office of Dykema as a partner.

Robert Nagle recently joined Fox Rothschild as a labor and employment partner in Philadelphia.

Ashley R. Thronson has joined Fredrikson & Byron as an associate in the employment and labor group. Fredrikson & Byron is based in Minneapolis.

Ruth Ann Daniels has joined the executive committee of Gray Reed & McGraw . Daniels heads the firm's employment law section and works in Dallas.

Jones Day has added labor and employment lawyers Elizabeth Dougherty and Douglas Hall as partners in its Washington office. They focus their practice on transportation labor issues. Dougherty previously served as chairman of the National Mediation Board, which oversees airline and railroad labor relations.

Kastner Westman & Wilkins , a boutique labor and employment law firm in Akron, Ohio, added two associates: Katherine R. Basch focuses her practice on wage-and-hour compliance, and Karly B. Johnson will focus on defending employers in employment litigation.

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton added Sean Libby in Atlanta as an associate on the labor and employment team.

Lance Olitt , an employment litigator, has joined Kluger Healey in its Tinton Falls, N.J., office as a partner.

Littler Mendelson has added two labor and employment lawyers to its roster in New York—shareholder Eli Freedberg and associate Daniella Adler. Freedberg's practice focuses on wage and hour class action defense, particularly in the hospitality industry. In addition, Jeanine Conley has joined Littler as a shareholder in its Philadelphia and New York offices.

Erin Kartheiser , an employee benefits and executive compensation lawyer, has joined McDermott Will & Emery in Chicago as a partner.

Michael Yim , a labor and employment lawyer who focuses his practice on noncompete and trade secrets, wage-and-hour, cross-border executive mobility and compensation matters, joined Sedgwick in New York as a partner.

Employment litigator Ian Smith has joined Seyfarth Shaw as counsel in its labor and employment group in Atlanta.
