Leah C. Lively has joined Davis Wright Tremaine in Portland, Ore., as a partner in the employment services group.

Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott has elected Jill R. Cohen in Princeton, N.J., to partnership status. Cohen divides her practice between employment litigation and complex commercial litigation.

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani recently elevated Brook Barnes and Jacob Grillot in San Diego to partnership. They are in the firm’s employment law practice group.

Labor and employment law firm Jackson Lewis has named Chad Richter managing principal of its office in Omaha, Neb.

Laura Bader has joined Jones Day in Chicago as a partner in the employee benefits and executive compensation practice.

Matthew D. Taggart has joined Thomas Employment Law Advocates as senior counsel in West Hollywood, Calif.

Von Briesen & Roper in Wisconsin has absorbed the entire staff of Simandl Law Group, a law firm in Waukesha County, Wis., that has closed. Simandl handled labor and employment, employee benefits and human resources matters.
