Thomas Lenz, a partner at Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo in Pasadena, Calif., has been appointed chairman of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the California Bar. His term will begin in September 2017 and will last one year.

Todd Boyer has joined the employment and compensation practice at Baker McKenzie in Palo Alto, Calif., as a partner.

Barrett McNagny has added Robert Kistler as a counsel in Fort Wayne, Ind. His practice will concentrate on employee benefits and ERISA compliance.

Carlton Fields has added ERISA lawyer Lowell J. Walters as a counsel in Tampa, Fla. Walters will practice in the firm’s business transactions group.

Debevoise & Plimpton has added J. Michael Snypes Jr. as a counsel in New York with its employee benefits and executive compensation group.

Gray Reed & McGraw has added employment litigator Jake Lewis as an associate in Dallas.

Harter Secrest & Emery has named two members of its employee benefits and executive compensation practice group to be senior associates: John W. Brill in Buffalo, N.Y., and Jesse A. St. Cyr in Rochester, N.Y.

Daniel J. Doron has joined Katten Muchin Rosenman in New York as a partner in the corporate practice. Doron represents clients on labor- and employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

Richard H. Bauch has joined Porzio, Bromberg & Newman in Morristown, N.J., as a counsel in the employment and labor department.

Post & Schell has elevated associate Kate A. Kleba to principal in the firm’s employment and employee relations and labor practice groups in Philadelphia.
