David Weil, former head of the Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division, is dean of the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.

Briggs and Morgan promoted associates Danielle Fitzsimmons and Claire Joseph in Minneapolis to shareholder status. Both practice with the firm’s employment, benefits, and labor section.

Chamberlain Hrdlicka added shareholder Joshua Sutin and associate Jillian Gordon Foerster in San Antonio. Sutin and Foerster both devote part of their practice to employee benefits law.

Hall Booth Smith named Jodi Barrett in North Palm Beach, Fla., and Ashik R. Jahan in Atlanta to partnership status. Barrett devotes part of her practice to employment law, and Jahan specializes in business and family immigration.

Hinshaw & Culbertson added Brandon Takahashi as a partner in its labor and employment group in Los Angeles.

Worklaw firm Jackson Lewis elevated principal Joy Chin in Melville, N.Y., to practice group co-leader of its affirmative action compliance and OFCCP defense practice group.

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton added Todd Castleton in Washington as counsel on the employee benefits team in the firm’s corporate, finance, and real estate department.

Joy D. McMillen joined Lewis Rice in St. Louis as a member in the labor and employment and commercial litigation groups.

Stearns Weaver Miller added shareholder Janet Goldberg McEnery and associate Andrew W. McLaughlin to its labor and employment practice group in Tampa, Fla.

Zachary R. Davis in Philadelphia has been named co-chair of the labor and employment department at Stevens & Lee. Edward C. Renenger in Reading, Pa., has been named co-chair of the firm’s ERISA, employee benefits, and executive compensation department.
