John D. Miller III joined Bressler, Amery & Ross in Florham Park, N.J., as a principal in the labor and employment practice.

Labor and employment law firm Fisher Phillips added Samantha Sherwood Bononno as a counsel and Rachel Stone as an associate in Philadelphia. Steven Bernstein, a Fisher Phillips partner in Tampa, Fla., was appointed chairman of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce.

Foley Hoag will elevate litigator Kristyn Bunce DeFilipp in Boston to partnership status, effective Jan. 1. DeFilipp focuses on labor and employment issues, health-care disputes, and complex commercial litigation.

James “Jim” F. Hendricks Jr. and Michael P. MacHarg joined Freeborn & Peters in Chicago as partners. They focus on labor and employment counseling and litigation.

Jason Guinasso joined Hutchison & Steffen as a partner, and Eric C. Werner joined as an associate, in Reno, Nev. Both lawyers handle labor and employment law matters. Guinasso will manage the Las Vegas-based firm’s new offices in Reno and Incline Village, Nev.

Jenner & Block elected Christine M. Bowman and Brienne M. Letourneau in Chicago to its partnership, effective Jan. 1. Bowman is a member of the employment law practice group, and Letourneau is a member of the ERISA litigation practice group.

Labor and employment law firm Ogletree Deakins welcomed litigator Jeff Mayes as a shareholder in Houston.

Robinson & Cole will promote immigration associate Lauren M. Sigg in Hartford, Conn., to counsel, effective Jan. 1.

Employment attorney Brian G. Muse moved to the new Williamsburg, Va., office of Sands Anderson.

In Memoriam: Richard Van Deuren, chairman emeritus at Milwaukee law firm Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren, died Dec. 17 at age 88. Van Deuren specialized in employee benefits and mergers and acquisitions.
