SARAH FERENCE, CPA, RISK CONTROL DIRECTOR, PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AT CNA INSURANCE

Sarah leads the Professional Services Risk Control team at CNA, the largest professional liability underwriter of CPA firms and lawyers. In this role, she oversees the delivery of risk management services to customers in the Professional Services customer segment, including CPA firms and law firms. Risk management services provided by Sarah and her team include policyholder consultations on ways to help mitigate professional liability risk, development and delivery of risk management training and education products, authoring monthly risk management articles for industry-leading publications such as the Journal of Accountancy, and creating other tools to assist professional services firms in managing their professional liability risk.


MELISSA VENTRONE, JD, CHAIR OF DATA PRIVACY AND SECURITY PRACTICE, WILSON ELSER

Melissa is chair of Wilson Elser’s Data Privacy and Security practice and focuses on , privacy breach response (pre- and post-event), privacy litigation, payment card industry (PCI) standards and investigations, and advises clients in identifying, evaluating and managing first- and third-party data privacy and security risks. Melissa frequently advises clients on compliance with state, federal and international laws and regulations. She leads Wilson Elser’s breach response team, quickly bringing lawyers, clients and forensic and breach response vendors together to optimize response time and effectiveness. Melissa has handled numerous breaches for small and large entities successfully reducing public and regulatory scrutiny and protecting clients’ reputations. 


MICHELLE ALIPERTI-URBIELEWICZ, RPLU, ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT AT CNA INSURANCE

Michelle leads the Miscellaneous Professional Liability team at CNA.  In this role, Michelle is responsible for managing the growth and profitability of CNA’s portfolio of Miscellaneous Professional Liability and Cyber products.  Her team is focused on underwriting professional liability and cyber for professional service firms.  Focus areas include lawyers, accountants, healthcare and management consultants.  Michelle has held numerous senior underwriting positions in the professional liability field.  She began her career at AIG prior to joining CNA in 2000.
